Wrexham Property Meet Welcomes the Inspirational Shaun Stocker ! (Feb 2017)

Shaun Stocker was our main speaker at our February Property Meet up.

Shaun was welcomed back to the property meet being a regular attendee at the meet ups.

Shaun spoke about how he signed up to the Army when he was 16 and was posted to Afghanistan on tour when he was 19 years old. Six days before the end of his tour he unfortunately stepped on an I.E. D. which resulted in him losing both legs and being blinded in both eyes. He explained how he has since managed to regain 30% in one of his eyes.

Shaun spoke about how the accident had changed his path in life and how he had come to start investing in property. He is currently developing an apartment block comprising of eight two bed apartments as well as writing a book and weightlifting for Wales ! He is due to be competing in Dubai at the end of the week.

Towards the end of 2016 he completed a walk and has raised £60,000 so far for Blind Veterans UK. He stated that he wouldn’t have received the support he has if it hadn’t been for Blind Veterans UK and he is still on the campaign trail to raise even more funds for them.

Shaun was thanked for telling his story. Everyone agreed how truly inspirational and motivational he is !

Susie informed everyone that as a result of meeting Shaun through the Property Meet, they had decided to fundraise for  Blind Veterans UK. So far both her and Richard have completed a 5K trail run in Brynkinalt and Susie & Lara have completed the Chain Runner event. More events are to follow, including five more trail runs ranging from 5K to half marathons, as well as Delamere Commando Trail ! The fundraising is ongoing so if anyone would like to donate they can do so either at the Property Meet or via their online Just Giving page (link below)
